Delivering Decarbonisation for Pelican Business Services

We are proud to be helping Pelican Business Services (a Wessex & Bristol Water JV) accelerate its carbon goals through a focused programme of building upgrades at its 20,500 sq ft headquarters in Nailsea.

Our team is delivering a suite of high-impact decarbonisation works designed to reduce emissions now, improve comfort for the people who use the building every day, and lock in long-term energy savings, all while keeping operations running as normal.

A fabric-first approach, with immediate results

By prioritising the building fabric, we are tackling heat loss at source. That means the site benefits from improved thermal performance straight away, and future low-carbon systems can be specified smaller and more efficiently, delivering better value as well as reduced demand.

Key upgrades underway

  • Bauder tapered insulation to strengthen the roof build-up and improve heat retention.
  • Class-leading Alitherm 300 glazing to support a more stable internal environment and reduce heat loss.
  • Coordinated delivery and phasing to protect business continuity for the 300 staff on site, with zero operational downtime.

Better comfort. Better performance. Permanent savings.

These improvements will help create a more consistent, higher-quality working environment for staff, while cutting energy demand and supporting Pelican Business Services on its wider decarbonisation journey.
